As a licensed psychologist for the state of Georgia for the past 18 years, Dr. Melonie B. Hill has had the pleasure of providing behavioral health services to a myriad of clients in various settings including college/university counseling centers, community mental health centers, and a primary multi-specialty medical practice. Her educational history includes obtaining a Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Clark Atlanta University followed by earning her Master of Science degree in professional counseling before completing her doctoral degree in psychology from The University of Georgia. For more than fifteen years, Dr. Hill has been the owner of Behavioral Management Group, LLC, which is a private behavioral health clinical, consulting, and training practice. She also continues to serve as an adjunct instructor at Morehouse School of Medicine. With active membership in the American Psychological Association, Dr. Hill remains committed to staying abreast of cutting-edge trends in the profession of psychology.
Dr. Hill’s areas of consultation and clinical specialization include:
(a) the interplay of finances and mental health concerns
(b) early childcare mental health consultation
(c) family stress and
(d) community wellness.
Though passionate about her profession as a psychologist, Dr. Hill is equally passionate about community engagement. Currently, she serves on the board as the CFO of the HBCU Cultured Dance and Arts Society, which is a tax-exempt performing arts program headquartered in Georgia, as well as she serves as the treasurer of InvestHer, LLC, which is an investment club for women. Her years of experience as a business owner managing all financial aspects of her business have equipped her to be effective in these community roles.
